Sunetric is pleased to announce that Russ Winkelman, director of finance and procurement, has been appointed to the board of the Hawaii Solar Energy Association (HSEA), the oldest and largest nonprofit dedicated to advancing Hawaii’s solar industry. Winkelman will work alongside member installers, distributors, manufacturers, auditors, and financiers of solar water heating and photovoltaic systems to promote the widespread adoption of solar systems and ultimately Hawaii’s energy independence from fossil fuels.
“In today’s rapidly evolving solar market, advocacy, education and networking by members of the solar community are crucial. As an industry leader and installer of some of the largest PV systems in the state, Sunetric brings years of experience to the collective dialogue over Hawaii’s solar future,” Winkelman said. “Serving on the HSEA board is one way to make a meaningful impact on our solar industry’s success.”
Since 2010, Winkelman has managed Sunetric’s finances and supply-chain operations as director of finance and procurement. He previously worked for Goodrich Aerospace and Motorola, bringing more than a decade of experience to Sunetric. He has a bachelor’s degree in supply-chain management and master’s degree in business administration from Arizona State University, and is a Certified Professional in Supply Management from the Institute of Supply Management.
